We are thrilled to present our collection of temari in the Gallery at Liriodendron, 502 West Gordon Street, Bel Air, Maryland 21014 during the month of March
The Gallery is open on Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Come and see the variety of colors and patterns and, maybe, try a little stitching for yourself!
The workshop will meet on Wednesday, September 17 and again on Wednesday, September 24 from 10am - 3pm.
We will stitch three mari (wrapped balls) in different patterns
and learn wrapping and marking techniques.
Just bring scissors; all other supplies are provided.
Our team teaching approach gives students a variety of ways to
understand the craft of temari.
This workshop works best for beginners,
but we also welcome those who want a “refresher” course.
Course fee: $130.00
Materials fee: $60.00

You’ll need your scissors, pins, tape measure, 5/2 cotton in as many colors as you want to use and a ball marked as an S12 in metallic with an equator.
This is a good time to try a slightly larger ball; we suggest a wrapped size of 28cm – 32cm. (A three inch diameter Styrofoam ball works well to make this size.)
We will be stitching the Kiku Diamonds pattern – it’s a great introduction to the kiku stitch which is so important in the temari repertoire.
$30.00 Class fee
